Meet Alicia Regodón, Co-Liv’s Ambassador for Spain

How do you currently define yourself, and what drives you?

I am innovative and have an enthusiasm for shared and sustainable housing solutions for all.

What is your relationship to coliving and how are you active in the scene?

I believe the coliving movement is taking a step forward in the world of housing to break the establishment and provide people with twenty-first century housing needs. Enhancing shared communities fights loneliness, enables flexibility, transforms design and incorporates technology into the housing world.

What are your visions and thoughts on the future of coliving for the year to come?

2021 is going to be a difficult year for the housing sector due to the global crisis, but those who survive will shine as the need to promote coliving will grow exponentially.

You joined Co-Liv as “Spain Ambassador” — what opportunities do you want to create for the country you represent, the organization, its members, and the coliving industry?

I will bring knowledge of the latest trends and an innovative mindset to the network of professionals interested in coliving in Spain.

I’ll also nourish the ecosystem and make more people interested in the coliving movement.

How did you get into coliving?

I worked in consultancy for innovative spaces, specifically human-centred projects. I needed a step forward and I strongly believe that the future will surround flexibility and service rented spaces. I met Maxime Depreux from Urban Campus and was impressed by their cutting-edge team who are fostering shared housing solutions and bringing technology, design, operations and Real Estate together in a unique manner. Currently I’m part of the United Nations Land and Housing department as a global Housing Sustainability expert.

And what should people get in touch with you for?

I can help people with the following: global sustainable housing solutions, innovative space design, user friendly technology for spaces and overall sustainability. For the UN, this refers to social, economic and environmentally sustainable solutions.
