Press Release: The Co-Liv Summit comes to Bansko for largest real estate event in the coliving industry
The world’s largest coliving organization partnered up with the Coliving Unconference Bansko Bulgaria (CUBB) to hold the Co-Liv Summit in Bansko, Bulgaria, on May 2nd, 2022.
Co-Liv (co-liv.org), the global association of coliving professionals, brings together the worldwide community of coliving actors to exchange, learn and connect at the Co-Liv Summit. More than 1000 coliving professionals are expected to participate in a hybrid format event, with approximately 100 participants in Bansko and 900 participants virtually present. More than 40 speakers from 15 different countries are going to contribute to this event.
This year’s theme is “Rise, Radar, Resistance”. The Summit has the intention to explain the main drivers and innovation behind the rise of the coliving movement, giving a global market overview of where the industry is at, and distilling major roadblocks for coliving actors to enter the market with practical solutions on how to overcome these. Kristen Zupancic, COO of Co-Liv and Co-Liv Summit lead, emphasized that this Summit will be a landmark event for the industry:
“The Summit is meant to transform the industry in radical ways. This year’s selection of speakers has been exceptional. We are confident that participants will leave the Summit not only with ideas, but with actionable resources and connections.”
In 2021, the Co-Liv Summit gathered 850+ coliving operators, developers, investors, real estate owners, public policy officials and service providers in a virtual format, making it the largest coliving conference to date. Operators comprised a quarter of attendees, including the top ten large-scale players and emerging niche actors. The major brokerage firms CBRE, Colliers, Cushman & Wakefield, JLL, Knight Frank and Savills also had significant attendance.
For 2022, the demande for the Co-Liv Summit has increased, according to Gui Perdrix, Co-Liv director and host of the Co-Liv Summit:
“With the rise of the coliving industry, the Co-Liv Summit remains one of the most important events to educate the market, existing and emerging actors, while offering an overview to outsiders into innovations and leading actors from the scene.”
A strong focus across the agenda will be to highlight best practices across the sector: from modular design construction to adopting blockchain technology on real estate, as well as how to reach operational excellence and scalability. Furthermore, virtual networking sessions will give participants the opportunity to meet other professionals and collaborate.
Hosting the Co-Liv Summit in Bansko is a sign of industry collaboration between parties, according to Matthias Zeitler, founder of Coworking Bansko and of the CUBB conference:
